IX Conference "Virtual University: VU'2009" will focus, as did the
previous conferences, on crucial areas connected with e-education in all
its forms. Presentations and discussions will be dealing with, but not
limited to, the following:
- e-education in Europe and the world,
- lifelong learning,
- quality assurance of e-education,
- methods and technologies of e-education,
- sociological, pedagogical and psychological aspects of distance
education,
- educational portals,
- information technology including the Internet and multimedia in
education,
- innovative methods of teaching specific subjects over the Internet,
- impact of Web 2.0 and Web 3.0 approaches on E-Learning,
- modeling and simulation technologies,
- virtual laboratories.
Invitation We would like to invite all professionals who are
interested in e-education:- academic, research and technical staff from universities and other
institutions of higher education,
- specialists who are responsible for training of corporate staff,
- specialists from companies producing and selling tools for the
creation of educational portals,
- specialists from companies producing and selling software and
hardware for the creation of virtual laboratories,
- experts from institutions concerned with education,
- journalists who specialize in new technologies, especially
e-learning,
- anyone interested in the use of the Internet and multimedia in
education.

- Paul Rühl, Promoting national and transnational cooperation in
higher education online - EuNeOn, the European Network of Networks for
Higher Education Online.
Papers accepted for the conference will be critically reviewed and
published after the Conference by the PJIIT Press. Papers may be submitted and presented either in Polish or English
language.
Dates
1. Submission of the title and the summary of the paper (in .rtf, .doc
or .odt format; not more than two A4 pages) by April 20, 2009.
2. Notification of acceptance by May 15, 2009.
3. Registration for the conference by June 1, 2009 -
registration form - MS Word.
3. Submission of the presentation in .ppt format using
this template by June 7,
2009.
4. Conference dates: June 17-19, 2009.
5. Submission of the full paper by July 15, 2009 ->
format.
